Overview: Saponins are glycosides of triterpenes, steroids or steroidalalkaloids. They can be found in plants and marine organisms. Verydiverse biological activities are ascribed to saponins and they playimportant roles in food, animal feedstuffs, and pharmaceuticalproperties.
