Overview: Arabinogalactan-proteins are distributed throughout the plantkingdom and are present in leaves, stems, roots, floral parts, andseeds. At the subcellular level, AGPs are localized on the plasmamembrane, in the cell wall, in secretory and endocytotic pathwayorganelles, in stylar and root secretions and in the medium ofcultured cells. The widespread distribution of AGPs indicates thatthey perform important functions. An expansion of knowledge regardingAGPs has been initiated and sustained through new experimentalapproaches, including the development of monoclonal antibody probesand clon
