Lecture Notes in Computer Scienceanimal tissues in resource-constrained environments. Therefore, this method is most suitable for the detection of contaminations in food. The major disadvantage of this approach is that it might result in highly diluted DNA, which requires subsequent concentration by using DNA-binding columns or silica-coated magnetic beads.

In spite of the abovementioned advantages, this technique might not be suitable for isolating the lower concentration of RNAs and different types of RNA other than mRNAs, as evident by the different contradictory studies.

Basic Idea About Nucleic Acids for Nonexpertstranded and depending upon the role it plays, it may be genetic or non-genetic. The non-genetic RNAs like mRNA, rRNA, tRNA, snRNA, and miRNA play various functional roles. Apart from being a storehouse of genetic information, nucleic acids also undergo mutations that lead to the expression of new traits and serve as the foundation for evolution.

Phenol-Chloroform DNA Isolation Methodnitial steps. Despite all these advantages, this method uses different dangerous organic solvents and hence should be carefully handled. Moreover, this method is laborious and time-consuming compared to the other methods available, for example, column-based isolation of DNA.
