There needs to be further research in utilizing these materials for broader applications, including a study on the sustainability aspects of their use.

Chitosan-Based Sensors,al applications is reviewed. Chitosan can be crosslinked with a targeted compound to modify its physical, chemical, and electrical properties. The fabrication of various chitosan-based biosensors and their electrochemical reaction mechanisms are briefly discussed.
