The Metabolism of Dihydroxylated Vitamin D Metabolitesed not only by the rate of formation of the metabolite but also by the rate of disposal or degradation. Human and animal experimental data will be presented and the importance of the described metabolic processes in the genesis of hepatic and intestinal osteodystrophy will be discussed.
