Cellular Plasticity, Cancer Stem Cells, and Cells-of-Origin,t fit in with its normal skin cell neighbors. Accompanying these changes in behavior are changes in which genes are transcribed or repressed. This is why the transcriptome of cancer cells or cancer stem cells often share many similarities with the transcriptome of embryonic or adult stem cells.

Book 2016archers are  now realizing is that there is a need to combine omics with physiology concepts in order to better understand cancer and this book will give insight to the merging of these two fields in order to define how cancer is studied in the future.​
