Effects of Prolonged Use on the Usability of a Multimodal Form-Filling Interfaced analysed in detail the changes in interaction patterns due to exposure. The study shows that with practice users learn to develop interaction patterns that ensure reliable and efficient interaction, resulting in decreased dialogue duration and more user satisfaction.

Design, Implementation and Evaluation of the SENECA Spoken Language Dialogue Systemambiguities are compensated by engaging flexible clarification dialogues with the user. The SENECA system has been evaluated by means of user tests. With speech input, road safety, especially for complex tasks is significantly improved. The feeling of being distracted from driving is smaller with speech input than with manual input.
