Qualitative Representations of Schematized and Distorted Street Segments in Sketch Maps, sketch maps are considered as an intuitive user interaction modality. As typically only qualitative relations are persevered in sketch maps, processing spatial information on qualitative level has been suggested. The information represented in sketch maps are distorted, schematized, incomplete, an

Effects of Global and Local Processing on Visuospatial Working Memoryn VSWM. Experiment 1 explores effects of global spatial organization. Experiment 2 induces local processing demands through memory updating. Results show better location memory with both global and local processing, but also suggest that the processing focus (global or local) affects the interaction of location and identity processing in VSWM.

Cognitive Values of Place Image Detected from Spatial Distribution of Building Namesg the model, the cognitive values of place image are quantitatively estimated and their spatial distribution is represented on a map. Finally, we demonstrate an example of its application to a land price model, and confirm that the proposed model can be applied to other urban models with ease.

Spatial Language in Brazilian Portuguese as Perceived by the General Upper Modele following findings specific for that language: GUM provided plausible semantic mappings for almost all the corpus, which also revealed spatial language in Brazilian Portuguese to be highly underspecified.

Spatial Numerosity: A Computational Model Based on a Topological Invariant number of objects in a scene. Based on concepts and quantities like connectedness and Gaussian curvature, we provide a general solution to this problem and apply it to the numerosity estimation from visual stimuli.
