Parallelization of an unstructured grid, hydrodynamic-diffusion code,ing parallelized conjugate gradients. The code is parallelized by domain decomposition of physical space into disjoint subdomains (SDs). Each processor receives its own SD plus a border of ghost cells. Results are presented on a problem coupling hydrodynamics to non-linear heat conduction.

The distributed object-oriented threads system DOTS,cs and computational number theory. We also discuss the performance characteristics of DOTS for a workstation cluster running under Solaris and a PC network using Windows NT, as they were obtained from a prototypical example.
