Design of Active Suspension System for an Electric Car Using PID and LQR Controllersheel in-wheel drive powertrain configuration and is modeled as a half-vehicle model having different weight distribution than an IC car. Performance of LQR suspension is observed to be better as compared to PID suspension, which in turn is better than the passive suspension system.

Artificial Neural Network-Based Model for Galloping-Based Piezoelectric Energy Harvesterroximate aerodynamic force. The results from both ANN and polynomial approximation-based models are compared and conclusions are drawn. It is found that for low wind speeds, ANN-based model gives good results compared to polynomial approximation.

Design of an Engaging–Disengaging Compliant Mechanism by Using Bistable Archeshanism. We describe its working, identify its design parameters, and use analytical expressions to arrive at its dimension. The design is verified by detailed finite element analysis and experiments on a 3D-printed prototype. Three alternate designs that lead us to the final mechanism are also briefly discussed.

Analytical Determination of Link Interference in Planar Parallel Manipulators Using Elliptical Enclothe corresponding ellipses. First, a condition for tangency of two conics is derived in closed form in terms of the respective coefficients. This condition is then used to obtain the loci of link interference for two parallel manipulators, namely the 5-bar and the 3-. planar parallel manipulator.

Bond Graph Modelling of Backlash and Removal of Its Effect Using Dual Drivels would be helpful in understanding the effects of backlash on the dynamics of a system and also demonstrate the applicability of the dual drive to remove the effect of backlash for precision mechanical systems.

Kinematic and Dynamic Manipulability of the Rotary Double Pendulumator and the manipulability analysis of this system is conducted. The kinematic and dynamic manipulability analyses are carried out, and the corresponding manipulability ellipsoids are plotted for end-effector motion on cylindrical surfaces.
