Modeling Inter-sector Health Policy Options and Health Gains in a Long-term Care Network: A Locatioat integrates these aspects. The model aims at maximizing expected health gains and minimizing expected costs, using the augmented (-constraint method for analyzing this trade-off. The impact of inter-sector policy options on this trade-off is explored. A case study in Portugal is analyzed.

Optimization of a Recyclable Waste Collection System - The Valorsul Case Study,le routing problem and a solution approach is developed. The three scenarios are compared with the current solution regarding distance travelled, working hours, amount of waste collected and vehicle usage. Significant gains are obtained when depots are added to the current logistics system.
