Application of the Finite Element Method to the Approximation of Some Second-Order EVI,for fourth-order problems, see Glowinski [2] and G.L.T. [2], [3]). The physical interpretation and some properties of the solution are given. Finite element approximations of these EVI are considered and convergence results are proved.
