Performance of dsPIC Controller Programmed with Code Generated from Simulinkion for simple PID, PID controller with anti-windup protection, state space controller with constant gain and Kalman gain. Computing efficiency using different data types (doubles and integers) is evaluated. We have concluded that using fixed point arithmetic instead of doubles will significantly improve computing speed.
