Indigenous Knowledge and Curriculum in Africa,ed and be appropriate to the social and material environments in which it is pursued. Education must also be adaptive and cumulative—that is, responding to the exigencies of situations and be meaningful to members of the society, taking into account their aspirations and concepts of development.
