Cultivationistan, Malaysia, and Philippines, also contribute major role in the production of cowpea. It is drought hardy crop and does not require much attention for its cultivation. Brief account of issues associated with cultivation of cowpea and varieties of cowpea developed in India has been discussed in this chapter.
