Electrolyte flocculation of oil-in-water emulsions stabilized by anionic detergents,ed its fall to zero value on further addition of electrolyte. . (2) suggested that on addition of electrolytes the charge on particles is reduced by the adsorption of oppositely charged ions and the stability of sol becomes least at isoelectric point.

Micellar behaviour of sodium dodecyl sulfate in presence of a cationic dye,c dyes and oppositely charged detergent is a very general phenomenon (9). Many dyes in the above reference have been taken as a source of determination of cmc but, other shown a strong interaction with surfactant micelles.

In this communication we have dealt with the ionic surfactants as emulsifiers and both o/w and w/o type promoting emulsifiers have been selected.
