Factors Modifying the Effect of Prostaglandin E1 on Lipolysis in Adipose Tissue, on lipolysis with regard to factors such as species, age, nutritional state and hormonal balance are lacking. A condition known to abolish the antilipolytic effect of PGE. in rat is the fasting state (6,7). The purpose of this study was to explore species differences of PGE. effects with reference to factors modifying lipolysis.

This suggested that utilization of muscle glycogen might increase in healthy subjects who exercise after injection of nicotinic acid.
