Taking Aliquots from Small Volumes of Upper Phasesanalyte completely from 2 ml of aqueous solution into 50 µl of isooctane; but to take an aliquot of the organic layer into a syringe for chromatography was troublesome. It was hardly possible to sample the organic phase without contaminating it with the aqueous phase.
