Temperature and Gravitational Potential,It is argued that thermal equilibrium of spatially extended systems is characterized by the presence of a “global” temperature, but that there also exists a “local” temperature, which is sensitive to the value of the gravitational potential. It is further asserted that thermometers read out the local temperature.

We call these anomalies the Long Distance Correlations.

Gravitational Wave Search with Resonant Detectors,The gravitational wave basic properties and their principal sources are schematically reviewed. The performances of the resonant cryogenic antennas are illustrated and their sensitivity is compared with those of the interferometer antennas. Finally the main results so far obtained by the Rome group are briefly presented.
