Basic Principles of Gravitational Wave Interferometers,Modern interferometric gravitational wave detectors can trace their heritage to the Michelson-Morley experiment. In this lecture, I discuss the way such instruments elucidate the nature of space-time, and derive the fundamental limit to their sensitivity.

Why the central values of , obtained experimentally with the magnetic spectrometers by various labovalue of .. is most likely linked to the inaccuracy of the theoretical formula of the .-spectrum. With the use of a theoretical formula with up to second order energy sum rule included, the experimental data of CIAE are re-fitted, and the problem with the negativeness of the central value of .. has alleviated significantly.
