GCG: Drawing Linear Restriction Maps,s is fairly easy to achieve in nucleotide sequences, as described in this chapter. It becomes more difficult when dealing with protein sequences (.. and . and . in Part II). Pattern matching methods are important in many other fields and are not necessarily restricted to enzyme cleavage (.. and . and . in Part II).

GCG: Analysis of Protein Sequences,ification. Method 3 reveals electrostatic properties of proteins by determining a “titration” curve in the denatured state. Method 4 uses various measures to characterize secondary structure features. Method 5, finally, plots three-dimensional structures arising from predictions.
