EDM Experiments with Diamagnetic Atoms,tion, and given that the nuclear magnetic moment is of order 1000 times smaller than the electron moment, diamagnetic atoms are much less susceptible to systematic effects associated with υ × . fields, leakage currents, magnetic fields, and systematic magnetic fields associated with high voltage switching.
