Selection of Human Antibody Fragments by Anti-Idiotypic Interaction compared to the background phages or the antigen is not available in a suitable form, resulting in nonspecific adherence of the phages. For this reason researchers used anti-idiotypic antibodies for the panning procedure. These were generated by immunization of rabbits with human IgG Fab (idiotype)
