Diagnosis of vulnerable plaques in the cardiac catheterization laboratoryd on a series of case reports with a lack of prospectivity and follow-up. Palpography, an IVUS derived technique, reveals information that is not seen on IVUS. It can differentiate between hard and soft tissue, which may be important for the detection of an instable plaque that is prone to rupture.
