Application for Locational Intelligence and Geospatial Navigation (ALIGN): Smart Navigation Tool foral-time data, it can complement as well as benefit from other “smart city” related efforts. The ALIGN app is designed to provide customized routes in a city for every user and to create a repository of user behaviour that can inform policy and planning decisions in prioritizing community mobility improvement projects.

Development of a Spatio-Temporal Analysis Method to Support the Prevention of COVID-19 Infection: Sp method helps citizens to change their lifestyle behaviors and cooperate in the prevention of COVID-19 infection. The method is an alternative to the Japanese soft lockdown, which was based on an emergency declaration. In the future, this method will be utilized for data analysis in future smart cities.

A Review of Spatial Network Insights and Methods in the Context of Planning: Applications, Challengeface when taking the planning knowledge from spatial networks to actions: data openness and privacy, linkage to direct policy implications, lack of civic engagement, and the difficulty to visualize and integrate with GIS. How Various Natural Disasters Impact Urban Human Mobility Patterns: A Comparative Analysis Based on teristics of people’s trips within and between the two environments. The results show that, while all extreme events perturbed mobility patterns to different degrees, these patterns mostly followed a truncated power-law distribution during steady and unsteady states.

Developing a GIS-Based Tourist Walkability Index Based on the AURIN Walkability Toolkit—Case Study: population density. However, it can be suggested that incorporating the subjective walkability criteria intertwined with tourists’ perceptions such as safety, comfort, wayfinding and visual interest can be considered as an idea for the future developments of a more comprehensive walkability planning support system (PSS) on the AURIN portal.

Sequential Patterns of Daily Human Activity Extracted from Person Trip Survey Datartions of activity patterns change as the distance increases and as age increases. Three age groups and three occupation groups are observed. Our research contributes to a better understanding of people’s daily activity sequences.
