After the catastrophicAriane-5 accident on 4 June 1996 which destroyed the four Clusterspacecraft, the European Space Agency Science Programme Committee gaveapproval to refurbish the spare Cluster spacecraft and make it readyfor flight. This new spacecraft, considered to be the first of a newfleet, is called Phoenix. In the meantime various options to repeatthe Cluster four-point measurements are being studied. .Since Phoenix, as the fifth Cluster spacecraft, will be equipped withthe spare Cluster experiments, the instrumentation articles in thisbook are still appropriate to the new mission. Furthermore, theobjectives of the recovery mission, the ground systems, the groundobservation program and the theory and modelling efforts all remainunchanged. Thus this series of articles will continue to be essentialto the Cluster community and to the general scientific community asthe recovery mission is implemented. | 出版日期 | Book 1997 | 关键词 | magnetosphere; observatory; solar; spectrometry | 版次 | 1 | doi | https://doi.org/10.1007/978-94-011-5666-0 | isbn_softcover | 978-94-010-6389-0 | isbn_ebook | 978-94-011-5666-0 | copyright | Springer Science+Business Media Dordrecht 1997 |
