Stochastic Model Reduction by Aggregation,ieved to be useful also as a theoretical tool for analysis of unmodelled dynamics e.g.in identification and adaptive control schemes. In this article we discuss an interesting class of aggregable system for which the physical interpretation of the abstract aggregaability conditions is particularly transparent.

Variable Structure, Bilinear and Intelligent Control with Power System Application,l of a flexible ac transmission system (FACTS) is analyzed and shown to be quite effective for a simplified single-machine infinite-but model (SMIB). For cases where system complexities may cause robustness problems, a bilinear self-tuning control and a neural-network based control are introduced.

Polynomial MMSE Deconvolution and its Duality with LQGR,e general solution is given in terms of a left spectral factorization and a pair of bilateral Diophantine equations. The first Diophantine equation is obtained by imposing optimality of the deconvolution filter whereas the second ensures stability of the filter, should the signal model be unstable.
