Contemporary Post-tensioned Concrete Construction,th configurations, prestressing steel is used to pre-compresses the concrete slab before loading and results in longer spans without deformation. In comparison to conventional reinforced concrete slabs, PT concrete provides excellent control of in-service deflections (Khan and Williams 1995).
