Criteria for fluorescence spectrometer sensitivity,All manufacturers of filter and grating fluorescence spectrometers include in each instrument specification some estimate of the sensitivity of the instrument and/or the limits of detection obtainable by its use. Some typical examples are given in Table 4.1. Such specifications are, in principle, desirable for two reasons:
