A Memorial Wall in Philadelphia,hing that to these mothers must seem so agonizingly trivial — an insult, a joke, or a misplaced look. The mothers tell the story as if they themselves were eyewitnesses to the event, including what, precisely, was said before the trigger was pulled. They freeze those last seconds as if casing the scene for some trace of reason.
