Facility Location Using Neural Networksems. Our neural approach uses neuron normalization as well as a conscience mechanism to consistently find good feasible solutions. To test our neural approach, a set of test problems from the literature has been used. Further research avenues are suggested.

Decomposed Fuzzy Models for Modelling and Identification of Dynamic Systems Evolution of identification algorithms for the decomposed fuzzy model is suggested. A comparative study of the dynamic system identification with the conventional relational model and the decomposed relational model is presented for Box-Jenkins data.

Design and Application of Block-Oriented Fuzzy Models — Fuzzy Hammerstein Model linear dynamic model in series. A constrained recursive least-squares algorithm is used for the simultaneous identification of the steady-state and the dynamic part of the FH model. To demonstrate the proposed modelling approach, an electrical water-heater process is used as an example.

Evolving Fuzzy Detectives: An Investigation into the Evolution of Fuzzy Rulesper concludes: 1. that many factors affect accuracy of classification, 2. intelligibility and processing speed mainly seem to be affected by the fuzzy membership functions and 3. noise can cause loss of accuracy proportionate to the square of noise.
