描述This book highlights key technologies of signal processing in pulsar-based navigation. It discusses the modeling, simulation, acquisition, and correction of relativistic effects of signals from X-ray pulsars. It demonstrates the methods of contour reconstruction and denoising, and introduces the concept and methods of the average contour. The performance of the phase measurement methods using signal contour is analyzed. The role of wavelets and bispectral methods in the denoising of pulsar signals is discussed. The measurements of pulsar signals’ arriving time are looked into from the perspective of time series. The book is intended for researchers and engineers interested in pulsar-based navigation. It is also a good reference source for senior undergraduates and postgraduate students majoring in navigation and signal processing.

Validation of X-ray Pulsar Simulation Signals,Whether the simulation signal is consistent with the measured signal is an important factor to verify the pulsar navigation. The previous chapter mainly analyzed and compared three pulsar signal generation models: Poisson distribution model, exponential distribution model and Gaussian fitting model.

Pulsar Signal Detection,This chapter takes the signal in pulsar navigation as the object, which is different from the pulsar search in astronomical observation. The detection and identification mentioned here are only a few specific pulsars that the navigation system is interested in, in order to complete the detection with less data and shorter time.

Measurement of Arrival Time of Pulsar Signals,The basic method for obtaining information in pulsar space navigation and positioning systems is to compare the measured pulse phase with the predicted phase based on a long-term observation model, in order to calculate the time of arrival (TOA) of the signal.
