Separable Spectroscopic Applications,copic intensity patterns and to diatomic predissociation are discussed. The use of semiclassical connection formulae for the general treatment of tunneling and curve-crossing problems is introduced. Applications to quantisation in a double minimum potential and to predissociation are used to illustrate the technique.

Correspondence-Principle Methods for Molecular Collisions,CP is derived and related to other approximate methods. Application to collinear vibrational excitation and to excitation of a rigid rotor are examined in some detail. Atom-vibrating rotor and rigid rotor-rigid rotor collisions are discussed more briefly.

Applications of BOHR Quantization in Diatomic Molecule Spectroscopy,er-order terms is outlined. Finally, simple analytic expressions for the limiting near-dissociation behaviour of vibrational energies and rotational constants are derived and their use for determining accurate molecular dissociation energies and long-range potential energy constants is described.

The Determination of Bound States by Semiclassical Methods,the irregular region..The implications of classical irregular motions on quantum mechanical wavefunctions is discussed..It is shown how these methods may be extended to potentials with many minima, in particular showing how tunneling effects may be included.
