Rule modelling and simulation in ALFRED, rule triggering as well as for rule simulation. In this paper we describe how each rule component is represented as an ARFPN with respect to rule semantics. In addition, we discuss in detail the simulation of rule processing by means of an order workflow example.

On control flow testing of active rules in a declarative object-oriented framework,l flow test data generator, which generates the constraints on test data in the form of test scripts. The work, which is adapted from the testing theory and test data generation techniques for control flow testing of imperative programs, represents the first step in the development of an effective active database testing framework.

Active-design: A generic toolkit for deriving specific rule execution models,to implement any execution model. This framework, called Active-Design toolkit, can be exploited in many situations where applications need specific model or different models for different subsets of rules.
