Activity Patterns of a Desert Rodent,ps are used in the same locations on a series of nights. In long-term studies, however, intrinsic factors such as available food supply or reproductive activity may influence the pattern of activity (. & ., 1973). Response to available traps may also be altered.

Prehistoric Rodents of the Middle East,ric rodents found in these countries. Many more Pleistocene and subrecent sites are known, but unless rodents are contained in the faunal lists, they will not figure here. In respect of a few sites, no published literature was available.

Desert Rodents: Physiological Problems of Desert Life,production, etc. do not differ in principle from similar problems in non-desert areas. This chapter will therefore be addressed to the problems uniquely characteristic of the desert habitat, and furthermore, the presentation will specifically be directed to those problems that seem pertinent to rodents.
