Real-Time Image Processing in CT—Convolver and Back Projectore data should be convolved and backprojected during the scan. Therefore we have developed special processors for our CT scanner. In this chapter real time image processing in CT using a convolver and back-projector is discussed An image display system for CT is also presented.

Real-Time Image Processing in Automated Cytologyn algorithm incorporates the cell growth method of Suzuki (1978). Screening speed is expected to be twice that achieved in manual screening. The authors aimed at a speed of 5 min./sample and have succeeded in developing a system with a speed of 2 min./sample.
