These methods not only utilize the product quality data (Y), but also the process variable data (X). Robustness of On-line Control ProceduresIt is shown that when there is no sampling interval, the optimum action limit is robust for moderate departure form normality. However, when sampling interval is present, the optimum values of the control parameters are not as robust. Since the random walk model is a special case of the IMA process,
