The Real Difference Between Radio-Loud and Radio-Quiet AGNsoud and radio-quiet AGNs. It is quite clear that the real difference between these two classes is the JET. So the discussion should be: why some AGNs have a powerful radio jet and some other don’t have. I will briefly discuss about the possible explanations for this fundamental difference.

Three Peculiar Objects From a New Sample of Radio Galaxiesabove +60°, total flux density greater than 100 mJy at 1.4 GHz and angular size larger then 4′ have been selected and observed with the VLA at 1.4 and 4.9 GHz. A number of peculiar radio galaxies have been discovered, of which we present here results on J1835+620, J2114+820 and J2157+664.

The Luminosity Function of QSO Host GalaxiesSO hosts is similar in shape to that of normal galaxies, although offset in normalisation by a factor of 10.. This supports the hypothesis that the parent population of quasars is identical to the general population of early-type field galaxies.

Associated Absorption and Radio Source GrowthEvidence is presented that C IV associated absorption is seen preferentially towards steep-spectrum radio sources of small linear size. A model for the clearing out of absorbing gas along the jet axis as the radio source grows is proposed. The general properties of the absorbers suggest that AGN environments are gas-rich.
