On a Domain Optimization Problem in Hydromechanics,ects of the mathematical description of such a physical system and consider the problem of choosing the shape of the body so that one such quantity is optimized. Certain families of solutions of the original boundary value problem are shown to be complete and a penalization method for treating the optimization problem is proposed.

Convergence of Suboptimal Controls for Point Targets,ving a point target condition. A . for these sequences is obtained using Ekeland’s variational principle, and is then applied to show convergence of suboptimal controls for quasihnear distributed parameter systems, both of parabolic and hyperbolic type.
