Bending Loss in Mid-Infrared Waveguides and Fibers a repetition rate of 1Hz at 3 μm wavelength. The pulse duration of the two lasers was 200 ns for the HF and 80μs for the Er:YAG. The evaluation of the fiber and waveguide properties include both straight and bend loss characteristics.

A Novel Electronic-Speckle-Pattern Interferometer (ESPI) for Dynamic Holographic Endoscopyons of technical objects and biological objects (in-vivo) are obtained. With this method, the operator’s tactile contact with the treated tissue which is lost in endoscopic minimal invasive therapy can be replaced by visual information (endoscopic taction).

Second-Harmonic Generation Imaginghe laser pulse width. The method was characterised using crystalline nonlinear optical materials, 2D arrays and molecular crystals. We are currently applying the technique to biological specimens including isolated DNA, chromosomes and human skin.

Relative and Absolute Coordinates Measurement by Phase-Stepping Laser Interferometrytes from the measured phase difference in illumination of the objects with different phase-shifted interference patterns as well as uncertainty of the measurements are proposed. A good agreement with experimentally obtained results is achieved.
