NVSS Observations of UGC Galaxiesratios consistent with star formation. Luminosity and visibility functions are derived for starforming and AGN powered radio sources. The normal galaxy luminosity function closely follows the IR luminosity function scaled by the radio-IR relation. The AGN luminosity function is steadily rising towards lower luminosity at 10. W/Hz.

Radio-Optical Orientation of E/S0 GalaxiesE/S0s with very weak, marginally extended radio cores. The only double-lobed (previously known) radio source is a dumbbell. For the rest of the objects, all hosting small and weak radio sources, the DSS is inadequate to determine morphological types. Thus a significant increase in sample size will be a major effort.

The Cambridge Low Frequency Radio Surveys: 6C, 7C, 8Cosecδ arcsec.—is currently being analysed and we now have catalogues in a number of selected regions, many of which have been observed repeatedly at a series of epochs for monitoring variable sources. These surveys provide a valuable resource for cosmology.

Imaging the Cosmic Microwave Background structures at high redshift that are otherwise invisible. The challenges of CMB imaging are addressed, the two standard observing strategies — beam-switching and interferometry — are compared, and the recent, very rapid progress in CMB astronomy assessed.
