It is concluded that although much progress has been made and useful results have been obtained, more research is indicated in the areas of adaptation and incorporation of advanced turbulent combustion modelling and the generation of benchmark experimental data for assessment purposes.

Unsteady combustion of solid propellants,alculated by means of eigenvalue analyses, and the combustion response functions corresponding to these frequencies are determined. It is shown that the use of isoparametric finite elements, Gaussian quadrature integration, and the Lagrange multiplier boundary matrix scheme offers a convenient approach to two-dimensional calculations.
