Hydrogen-Enriched Syngas from Biomass Steam Gasification for Use in Land-Based Gas Turbine Engines %. Further analysis revealed that to produce syngas with high hydrogen concentration, inert-fluidized gasification was the most efficient method tested in this study. While fluidized bed gasification with CaO was found to be less efficient than inert-bed gasification, it does produce syngas with higher hydrogen concentration.

Beside high-quality coals which are low in ash, also coals with high amounts of ash and moisture exist. These coals are significantly lower in their energy contents and usually used locally because of their availability and lower costs.
