,Value Chains’ Constraining Effect on Industrial Conventions and Market Adaptions,mportant structural constraints for market adaptation. A comparative study of the Norwegian and Icelandic exports also shows that the value chains’ conventions, geographically rooted in harvesting and processing regions upstream, have a significant effect in shaping differences in the value chains’ market adaptation downstream.
