Solitary Nonlinear Excitations in Spin Systems: Experiment,to probe the soliton dynamics of ferro- and antiferromagnetic sine-Gordon chains. We report on inelastic neutron scattering, nuclear magnetic resonance and electron spin resonance experiments in CsNiF. and TMMC. Particular interest was aimed at the instability of solitons in high magnetic fields.
