Sperm Binding to the Zona Pellucida, Hyaluronic Acid Binding Assay, and PICSI,tion of the infertility work-up. The sperm Hyaluronic Binding Acid (HBA) assay has been applied to select sperm for ICSI. It has been proposed that the results of the test indicate that the selected spermatozoa have undergone normal spermatogenesis, but more studies are needed to prove its clinical value.
