,Design of a New Stream Cipher—LEX,In this paper we define a notion of leak extraction from a block cipher. We demonstrate this new concept on an example of AES. A result is LEX: a simple AES-based stream cipher which is at least 2.5 times faster than AES both in software and in hardware.

CryptMT3 Stream Cipher,s period is proved to be no less than 2.− 1, and the 8-bit output sequence is at least 1241-dimensionally equidistributed. It is one of the fastest stream ciphers on a CPU with SIMD operations, such as Intel Core 2 Duo.

Specification for NLSv2,rimitives, profile 1A. NLSv2 is an updated version of NLS [19]. The minor change between NLS and NLSv2 increases resistance to attacks utilizing large amounts of keystream. NLS stands for Non-Linear SOBER, and the NLS ciphers are members of the SOBER family of stream ciphers [12],[16],[23] and [24].

The Grain Family of Stream Ciphers,ly. The designs target hardware environments where gate count, power consumption and memory are very limited. Both variants are based on two shift registers and a nonlinear output function. The ciphers also have the additional feature that the speed can be easily increased at the expense of extra hardware.
