Peripheral Treatment of Acute Pain,p in the initial treatment of acute pain states would be at the site of injury. This paper is a short review on clinical experiences with peripheral treatment of acute pain, i.e., at the surgical wound site. The review will not include studies of peripheral nerve blocks.
