Fundamental Concepts Associated with Magnetic Reconnection,m’s law is derived (Sect. 2.3), the origin of the Hall magnetic field is discussed in Sect. 2.4 and finite Larmor radius effects are discussed in Sect. 2.5. These sections are meant to provide all the fundamental notions about magnetic reconnection that are necessary to understand the results presented in the following chapters.
