L-Glutaminase as a Therapeutic Enzyme of Microbial Origin,to their broad biochemical diversity and their susceptibility to genetic manipulation. By considering the requirement for large-scale production of such enzymes, a brief outline of the various production techniques, and downstream processing are discussed on the basis of L-glutaminase as a typical microbial therapeutic enzyme.

Food-Grade Corynebacteria for Enzyme Production,ted microorganisms. To solve this problem, here we describe a general method for the construction of engineered corynebacteria bearing a single copy of a gene coding for a hydrolytic enzyme or a desired protein in its chromosome where it is stably maintained with no selective pressure and lacking any antibiotic resistance gene.

Glucose Dehydrogenase for the Regeneration of NADPH and NADH, GDH. Furthermore, we constructed two plasmids containing the genes encoding ADH and GDH by inserting them one after the other. These two plasmids differ from each other in the order of the genes. Because of the low solubility of the compounds, we examined the reaction in a water/organic solvent two-phase system.
